What was most useful to me in my learning process? What was least useful? What did I learn about my own learning process during this module?
I really found Bonk's article from 2004 still relevant n 2008. His article was thought provoking and could be easily applied to both education and business. After reading his article, I wanted to add a 5th storm, Time. In the business world, we are asked to create curriculum yesterday. And I'm finding that creating E-Learning modules can be very time consuming, especially when you're working with an SME and you have to constantly go back and forth.
I found the Concept Mapping article to be the least useful. The article did not make concept mapping any clearer for me. Actually, it seemed to be more of an article on ROI.
I know that I am a multifaceted learner, with an emphasis on seeing and doing. I thought it was helpful to create a concept map. Please see next post for my concept map.
Did I achieve my learning objectives in this week? If yes, what did I achieve? If not, what got in the way of achieving those objectives?
My goal is to formalize my teaching skills with educational theory. Yes, I achieved more formalization by using concept mapping. In the past, I have just created an outline, but the picture of the map is more powerful. Also, it looks professional.
How did my thinking about assessment change this week?
I didn't realized the many ways that assessment can be accomplished.
What activities were especially meaningful to my learning and why?
I enjoyed reading Bonk's article: Perfect E-Storm: emerging technology, enormous learner demand, enhanced pedagogy, and erased budgets. I could relate to his article and validate it through my own professional experience.

Nancy: You have touched on such an important topic or "fifth storm" as you said - “Time”. I hope that through the hands-on practice with some of these tools, you will find some real time-savers in creating your e-learning modules.
